House Concerts in the Hill Country was born of a love of music, especially the full rich sounds of acoustic music. There is also an outward purpose, and that is to attempt to fill the "performance gap" that exists between San Antonio and Kerrville.

Our concerts are held monthly, more or less, in Boerne and principally feature the many fine musicians who live in this triangle of Austin/San Antonio/Kerrville & Fredericksburg. Also when the opportunity arises to arrange a get-together with truly exceptional artists who live outside this area, we are delighted to do so.

These musicians welcome the opportunity to engage their fans, and future fans, up close in these typically intimate settings, not only because it helps them build their base of appreciative listeners, but also because they know that those in attendance are there to really hear their music. And house concerts present an unparalleled opportunity to do just that. There are no talkers, telephones, wait staff or other distractions to the fullest enjoyment of the performance art.

Our concerts are two-part, with a pot-luck supper between sets. Occasionally there are talented musicians who do a brief opening set. We have the venue and seating, so you only need to bring your artist contributions, pot-luck dish, BYOB, and your love of fine, hand-crafted music. Enjoy!
